Books that carry the GB Press logo will be available in a whole slew of different formats. If you want to sample them for free, you can head over to Scribd and read a few chapters or even the whole book. If you want the convenience of an ebook for the Kindle, or a paper version, you are going to have to pay for that privilege.
How many publishers give you that kind of freedom to read their books? Not many, I'd wager. Are we worried that our valuable books will be pirated and people will refuse to pay for them? No. Because the value of having another person read our books and passing them on to their friends, is worth more to us than we could ever hope to make in coming after pirates.
